Arthritis Association with Pain is Common
April 19th, 2007    Subscribe To Our FeedHere is what we know “arthron” means joint in Greek and “itis” means swelling. There is the term arthritis which means joint swelling or joint inflammation. What are some common questions? What causes arthritis? Why is arthritis associated with pain?
Many Types of arthritis
So what arthritis means in layperson’s language is bad joints and joint pain. The reason for this is the cartilage is destroyed by friction, trauma and sometimes because of a faulty immune system. Whatever the reason, the basics remain the same. The joint (s) that are affected by the disease cannot be moved (hence, used) anymore, because the soft padding (cartilage) that kept the movement smooth and pain free is not there anymore or disappearing quickly.
There are many causes for arthritis - and most have age related to them. The people who are overweight and aged will have the most pain when attacked by the disease. Now add the extra weight which putts extra strain on the joints, in particular the ankles, hips and knees, then you accentuate the pain further.
Now you can see why arthritis is associated with pain so much. When that cartilage is damaged the joint will grind against each other. This feeling is like someone scratching and open wound. It is easy to see why the pain occurs.
The advanced stage of arthritis association with pain is sustained by trauma to the bones itself and their breaking through continuous grinding against each other, splintering and son on. You can sometimes find bones that have fused together once the cartilage is totally gone. Bunions sometimes grow as a direct result of arthritis. The bunions explain clearly the association with pain, because the growths are deformations of the body in response to the disease.
You can’t break the arthritis association with pain yet. There are many studies being conducted all over the world in search of this answer. Alternative medicine, herbs, animal extracts such as bee’s venom and there are many other being tried and tested in search of a complete cure and possible reversal of the awful disease.
No one yet has the answer. Hopes are flying high with the efforts being put forth in the efforts of researching the power of natural remedies. These natural remedies are and have been showing a lot of promise. So as you can see it is tough to not have arthritis association with pain when you are talking.
