AARP, the American Association of Retired Persons has 2 exercise routines from the strength training past 50. This is by Wayne L. Westcott and Thomas R. Baechle (human kinetics, 200)
One of the exercises will use free weights .
The other is going to use an exercise machine .
If you are going to try these make sure you check with your physician. Also these are well written so read them carefully before starting and make sure that you check what you are doing during the routine itself.
Here is what AARP says, “This can help with insulin resistance to decrease, your resting blood pressure can also decrease and can reduce arthritis pain and this is great, even improve memory.”
